…how bout a laugh!

HA HA HA HA!!!
i love laughing! when i get laughing really hard i get soooo weak i could just fall down on the floor. and sometimes i do! ha ha. i laugh every day even at stuff i get thinking about thats funny from yesterday or some other time. sometimes its just a little giggle and sometimes it a really big nose snorter weak in the knees falling down big belly laugh. how much times you laugh in a day pretty much says how happy you are.
x
did you know kids laugh 300 times in a day! big people laugh just only 17 times in a day! WOW! how sad is that! YIKES! whats the matter with grown ups???!! seems growing up makes you just way too serious and makes you forget how to relax and laugh and just have lots of fun. heres something to think on… “We don’t stop laughing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop laughing.” …Michael Pritchard x thinking on that could make grown ups want to get laughing again for sure.
x
maybe we need to add laughing to those five senses and then there would be six and that sixth one is a sense of humor. its something thats part of everyone. did you know lots of therapists are getting into that sixth sense and doing laugh therapy cause it helps their clients let go of stuff. and i bet you didnt know that theres laugh clubs all over the world that do nothing but just laugh! ha ha click here and go see a cool bbc video about a laugh club in india.
x
when you get thinking on it theres just lots of good that comes out of laughing. heres just some of it.
x

1. gets rid of stress
2. stops you from being irritated or angry or makes it lots less
3. helps you let go of stuff youre holding on to thats not so healthy
4. helps you feel lots better if youre feeling depressed
5. gets you connected up with people and makes friendships lots more strong
6. makes you lots more healtlhy
7. makes how you see the world lots more happy
x

i hope you could see the good that comes from laughing and start doing lots more of it. WOW! laughing is soooo cool. i love it and i hope you could love it as much as me.
x

now how bout a good laugh.. ha ha ha hee hee ha ha ho ho!!!

…lots of laughs and hugs from lenny

  1. A good reminder that grown ups don't laugh enough. We should all laugh more. It would make us feel better.

  2. There is a lot to be said for, "turn that frown upside down," isn't there. Sometimes we forget that just because we are adults we can still have a good ole' laugh. Thanks for the reminder!

  3. I love to laugh, Lenny! 17 times a day isn't nearly enough.

  4. Hey Lenny!
Great post, young dude. Laughter is the best medicine. I laugh and have fun, loads and loads. For sure it reduces stress levels. And I'm a big old grown up who just loves a good old giggle!
    Have a great week, Lenny.
Hugs and laughs, your way, Mr. Gary :-)

  5. Hi Lenny
Thanks for the reminder that we should laugh more. I agree and I do laugh a lot, mostly at myslf but people around me like it too. You can't stay mad if you're cheeks are aching from laughing. Keep up the good work and thanks again.
    Cheers!

  8. You are SO right! Laughing makes you feel so much better! Nothing feels better than to laugh so hard you can't control it. All kinds of wonderful chemicals are released in the body. It's good for your mood; it's good for your mind; it's good for your body!

But 17 per day vs. 300? That's just sad. I'm going to try to laugh more tomorrow.

  9. Awesome post! You are so right, laughing is a fabulous stress reliever...if I didn't laugh throughout the day I would be crying!

  10. 17 times a day?? That's next to nothing! One of the reasons I love being a teacher is that we get to laugh a LOT during the day! Laughter really is good for you - plus it's fun! Great post, Lenny!

  11. Awesome post, Lenny! I love to laugh out loud... I know I need to laugh more. Your post really made me think about how many times I do laugh a day...I'll have to work hard to catch up with you! I think I'll watch ELF tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I can get in at least 200 laughs by just watching that movies. :-D

  12. How sad that grown ups don't laugh more!

I'm glad I have two kids who make me laugh every day. Between them and teaching at school, I know I get more than 17 a day :)

  13. That is sad that adults don't laugh a lot! I'm lucky because I have kids around me all the time to keep me laughing. I absolutely love to laugh. It's the reason I married the guy I did--he always knows how to make me laugh and not take life too seriously.

:o) Thanks for the laugh, Lenny! You always have a good way to make me smile and giggle. :o)

  14. hahahaha! What a VERY cool post! I definitely agree with you, Lenny. Laughing is healthy. There's a saying one of my friend's dad's said to me once, when I was a teenager. He was doing something silly, and my friend and I looked at him funny (you know how teenagers think they're too cool to be silly, right?). Anyway, he said to us "You'll know you're an adult when you feel comfortable acting like a kid!" And it's so true! Don't you think?

  15. Hi Lenny .. what a fun read .. I love laughing and you're right we don't laugh enough do we!

Mum (aged 90 .. just before your birthday) and I watched 101 Dalmations with Glenn Close .. and my mother in her bed was belly laughing at the action in the film .. it was wonderful to see - and the staff and I were so pleased she was enjoying herself. Giving her laughs has been one of the best things for us both .. exercise, happy endorphins .. and happiness ..

Love this post - we need to lighten up!! Thanks so much .. hope your Halloween was fun and full of laughter ... enjoy the week .. Hilary

  16. I love to laugh--I laugh every opportunity I get. And what's even better for me is making other people laugh, too. Laughter is a gift to the whole world, and if more people shared it, the world couldn't help but get better. :)

  17. Oh, I LOVE to laugh! The more, the better! And I love to hear Emily laugh. Laughing just makes you feel better. ;-)

  18. Laughter is the world's best medicine. I really believe that having a positive outlook and wanting to get better makes your body recover from illnesses faster. The world would be a better place if everyone laughed more.

  19. Oh yes- laughter is the best medicine. that's why when I'm feeling down, I watch 'Friends'. That show never fails to crack me up, no matter how grouchy I'm feeling. I hope you had a great halloween!

  21. Sometimes I laugh so hard I cry and my stomach hurts. I can't stop. Then my kids start laughing at ME. I think laughing that hard is great exercise, because I'm worn out when it's over.

  22. As you know Lenny a sense of humor can see you through a lot of tough times at the doctor- I try to make someone laugh when I go for my treatments every day at least a couple of times and if I can do that then I feel better too.

I seem to get a good, consistent response by suggesting that the only thing that's really wrong with me is that I'm a Muppet so human medicines don't work on me :)

    Hope you laugh lots today!

  23. What an awesome post, Lenny! And you are so right about adults being too serious. I'm totally guilty of this sometimes. Which is why my boys keep me young by making me laugh. It's even better when I can make them laugh. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. And you have just described why I love to laugh. Because, for adults, sometimes it's either laugh or cry. And I choose to laugh.

  25. Hi Lenny! I'm so glad I read your post this morning before I set off on another marathon writing day for NaNo. Laughing is such good medicine!

  26. I never knew kids laughed soooo much and adults laugh so little! Haha! I don't count though. xD Well, I liked your post! :)

  27. Great post, Lenny! You really reminded me of how laughter is important. I was grinning all the way through this post because it was so good. And now I'm laughing thinking about those laugh clubs in India!

  30. Thanks for the reminder!

I remember laughing way more as a kid. Like you, sometimes it was hard to stop. My kids make me laugh, which is good because I agree that we need laughter in our lives.

  31. Grown ups only laugh 17 times a day? Oh that's so sad. =( Now I have to count how much I laugh today. I don't know if I'll make it to 300, but why not try! =) Thanks Lenny!

  32. Great post, Lenny, and some wonderful advice! I love to laugh also, although I have to admit I don't have the kind of laugh you enjoy. We adults do tend to loose the natural freedom of hearty laughter sometimes and need reminders like this about how great laughter is. I'm laughing now. Thanks, Lenny!

  33. Thanks for a fantastic post, Lenny! This is such great advice. Whenever I need a good laugh, I read a few pages in my Calvin and Hobbes books. (The one where Hobbes gives Calvin a haircut makes me laugh so hard, I almost fall on the floor!) Cheers!

  34. blogger isn't being very nice today!

I love to laugh, it's my favorite thing to do. I work in a daycare, so that makes for lots more laughing.

Calvin and Hobbes are my all time favorite characters, do you like them too?

  35. You are very smart because laughter really is the best thing! I love to laugh and make others laugh too! This is a great post with some awesome advice. I watched that video too about the laugh club... very cool!
