...happy holidays!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

a holiday poem ...by lenny lee
x
the holidays again are here
and soon will come a whole new year
x
for everyone it’s busy days
with baking cakes and children’s plays
x
and running round to shop for stuff
but not one thought to say, “enough!”
x
so, stop and take some time to see
a pretty decked out christmas tree
x
or go ‘round town and see the lights
enjoy the pretty festive sights
x
please don’t forget to stop a while
and give someone a happy smile. :)
x
just take some time to have some fun
and celebrate with everyone
x
to all my friends both far and near
i wish for you a sunshine year.
x
happy holidays and happy new year!
x
 …big hugs from lenny

  5. Fabulous! I love the poem and the reminder! The chaos of this time of year can be such fun - but it can also get out of control at times.

Hope you and your family enjoy the very best that Christmas has to offer! I wish you lots of peace and joy.

  14. Hi Lenny - what an excellent reminder to us all - we need to stop and smell the flowers, enjoy the simple pleasures around us, those glistening lights ...

Have a very happy and peaceful time with your brothers, family and friends ... enjoy watching your wild birds and animals as they come calling ..

Your card is an absolute delight - I showed it to some of the elderly residents and they were amazed at the creativity .. I love Rowdy Racoon in his pine muffler ..

Happy days .. with many thoughts, a few big hugs too .. cheers - Hilary

  29. Great poem and message, Lenny!

One of my fondest Christmas memories is from when I was your age. I was walking out from a store into the snowy parking lot, and when I got to the car and waited for my brother to unlock it, I saw the snow falling down lightly in front of the store, which was all bright with decorations, and I looked around, and the snow was all lit up by the lights everywhere, and far off I could hear a carol playing, and my brother saw me looking, and we both just stood there in the snow for a few minutes, taking it all in.

So yeah, slow down and soak it up and all the best to you and yours!
