a springtime poem

trees

yesterday the trees were dark and bare
sad and lonely in the icy air
.
came the sun and showers of gentle rain
dressing trees in fullness once again
.
happy glossy leaves now dance along
in the arms of springtimes joyful song
.

  1. I hope you are proud of your sea poem. The seas and oceans have been having a rough time for many years and the oil spills don't help. Good for you for remembering that the sea needs friends, too. Peace, Cat Whisperer

  2. When teaching, Lenny, I read poetry to children and they wrote lots of poems. I would have be delighted to have read your poem when teaching and would have read it out to the rest of the class!
