for me i going like one of my favs from a story my mom used to read to me when i was way little. its rikki tikki tavi and hes a brave mongoose. i gotta tell you mongooses arent the most cute animals but for sure theyre way smart and real curious and got tons of courage. thats how come i could like rikki tikki tavi. and i like him cause he could defend you with his life even against a big cobra snake. rikki tikki tavi is a short story from in the jungle book by rudyard kipling and it was wrote in 1894.
for that party im taking peanutbutter cups, honey bar-b-que potato chips and pink lemonade. yummy for sure!
x
come on lets go have some fun!!! x
…hugs from lenny
Congrats Talli! Great character Lenny! What a fun promotion for the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteHooray for Master Lenny too .. Talli's going to have fun reading this one .. I just love the onomatopoeic sound of Rikki Tikki Tavi .. you tell stories so well now I want to go back and read the Jungle Books all over again.
ReplyDeleteBut if you're going to this 'ere party .. I sure hope you've brought enough peanut butter cups, honey barbque crisps (as we call them) and pink lemonade for all 150 of us .. as we'll be queueing at your table ...
I might have a glass of Talli's champers afterwards though ..?!
Great fun Lenny .. and thank you so much for your surprise Ecard today ... my mother will be so pleased to hear from you .. big hugs and enjoy today .. Hilary
Congrats Tali! And Lenny, that's an awesome story. I wish my mom would have read it to me as a kid.
ReplyDeleteMy all-time favorite story from when I was a kid is The Elephant's Child, also by Rudyard Kipling. I still remember how my mom called me "my best beloved" when she read me that book, but never when she read any other book. It wasn't until I was old enough to read that I realized that was written into the story. Great choice, Lenny!
ReplyDeleteAwesome choice, Lenny! Mongooses need some love and attention too! I chose Mulan, heehee. She's another brave intelligent character, like Rikki Tikki Tavi!
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on Talli's book lauch! You chose a great character, Lenny. And the party food. YUMM!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice Lenny! I'm sure glad I can come to the party the way I am...cause I'm still in my pj's.
ReplyDeleteYay for Talli and her newest book!
Hahahaha...pink lemonade! Your skin is going to turn pink from all the pink lemonade you're drinking. :o

ReplyDeletePeanut Butter Cups and honey BBQ chips are two of my FAVORITE things, Lenny! :-)
Oh, FANTASTIC Lenny! Ever since I got your email, I've been trying to guess who you'd be! I'd never have guessed a mongoose - how cool! You rock! Along with Riki Tiki, of course.

ReplyDeleteBig hugs and lots of thoughts to you and the family .. Hilary
EGAD! You snuck another one in on me. You are getting good at that. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful story, Lenny. Rikki Tikki Tavi is a timeless story that will live on as long as there is an earth. I loved reading how your mom used to read it to you.

Thanks for sharing the good news about Talli's new book and the party, Lenny. Sounds like fun! I had forgotten about Rikki Tikki Tavi. It's great that you have the nice memories of your mom reading it to you!
ReplyDeleteI'm still visiting everyone that took part in Talli's launch day. Love your choice, Lenny!
ReplyDeleteOh I remember Rikki Tikki Tavi, I had a teacher in primary school who read it to us, I loved it, thankyou for the memories. I hope you had an awesome birthday. Sorry you learnt the hard way about saving documents, I've made that mistake too - I was always telling my students to 'save, save, save', so I felt pretty silly when I did it. Have a great weekend Lenny. Sue
