for me i going like one of my favs from a story my mom used to read to me when i was way little. its rikki tikki tavi and hes a brave mongoose. i gotta tell you mongooses arent the most cute animals but for sure theyre way smart and real curious and got tons of courage. thats how come i could like rikki tikki tavi. and i like him cause he could defend you with his life even against a big cobra snake. rikki tikki tavi is a short story from in the jungle book by rudyard kipling and it was wrote in 1894.

for that party im taking peanutbutter cups, honey bar-b-que potato chips and pink lemonade. yummy for sure!

come on lets go have some fun!!!

  2. Hooray for Master Lenny too .. Talli's going to have fun reading this one .. I just love the onomatopoeic sound of Rikki Tikki Tavi .. you tell stories so well now I want to go back and read the Jungle Books all over again.

But if you're going to this 'ere party .. I sure hope you've brought enough peanut butter cups, honey barbque crisps (as we call them) and pink lemonade for all 150 of us .. as we'll be queueing at your table ...

I might have a glass of Talli's champers afterwards though ..?!

Great fun Lenny .. and thank you so much for your surprise Ecard today ... my mother will be so pleased to hear from you .. big hugs and enjoy today .. Hilary

  3. Congrats Tali! And Lenny, that's an awesome story. I wish my mom would have read it to me as a kid.

  4. My all-time favorite story from when I was a kid is The Elephant's Child, also by Rudyard Kipling. I still remember how my mom called me "my best beloved" when she read me that book, but never when she read any other book. It wasn't until I was old enough to read that I realized that was written into the story. Great choice, Lenny!

  29. Oh I remember Rikki Tikki Tavi, I had a teacher in primary school who read it to us, I loved it, thankyou for the memories. I hope you had an awesome birthday. Sorry you learnt the hard way about saving documents, I've made that mistake too - I was always telling my students to 'save, save, save', so I felt pretty silly when I did it. Have a great weekend Lenny. Sue
